The detail

Who we are

Arcana Safes Ltd designs and supplies bespoke luxury safes. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17411383, registered office 3rd Floor, 45 Albemarle Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 4JL. You can reach us at contact@arcanasafes.com or on WhatsApp at +44 7375 317997.

These terms

These terms apply to every safe we supply. Please read them before you place an order. By placing an order you accept them.

Nothing in these terms reduces your legal rights as a consumer. If any part of them conflicts with those rights, your rights prevail.

How an order is made

Every Arcana safe is quoted after a conversation. A quotation sets out the size, security grade, finish, interior configuration and price, and is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.

A contract is formed when we confirm your order in writing, not when you submit an enquiry or complete a payment. If we cannot accept an order we will tell you promptly and refund any payment in full.

Made to order

Our safes are built to your specification. Colour, interior layout, winder count, lock type and finish are chosen by you and are not stock items.

Once you have approved the specification in writing, it is fixed. Changes after that point may not be possible, and where they are, they may affect the price and the delivery date. We will tell you before proceeding.

Price and payment

Prices start at £20,000 and are confirmed in your quotation. Unless the quotation says otherwise, prices include UK mainland delivery and standard installation, and exclude any building or joinery work needed to receive the safe.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.

We do not take a deposit. The full price of the safe is payable on order, and we do not begin building until payment has cleared in full.

Lead time and delivery

Our standard lead time is 12 to 16 weeks from written approval of the specification. Bespoke finishes and unusual configurations can take longer, and we will tell you at the point of quotation.

Lead times are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees. Where a delay is caused by something outside our control we will keep you informed and agree a revised date with you.

You are responsible for ensuring safe and lawful access to the installation point, including floors able to bear the load, and for any permissions required. If access proves inadequate on the day, we may have to re-schedule and charge the cost of the second visit.

Your right to change your mind

Because our safes are made to your specification, they fall within the exemption for bespoke and personalised goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The 14-day right to cancel does not apply once manufacture has begun.

You may cancel at any time before you approve the specification in writing, and we will refund you in full.

This does not affect your rights if the goods turn out to be faulty, misdescribed or not fit for purpose.

If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement, or in some circumstances a refund.

Tell us as soon as you can at contact@arcanasafes.com. Please do not attempt to repair or modify a safe yourself, or have a third party do so, as this may make the fault worse and will affect your warranty.

Warranty

Each safe carries the manufacturer warranty stated in your order documentation, running from the date of installation. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in normal domestic use.

It does not cover damage caused by misuse, attempted forced entry, unauthorised modification or repair, or by moving the safe after installation.

Keys, codes and access

You are responsible for keeping keys, codes and override credentials secure, and for keeping a record of them somewhere other than inside the safe.

We can usually help if access is lost, but doing so may require a chargeable engineer visit and, in some cases, will damage the lock or the door, at your cost.

Security ratings and insurance

The Eurograde rating and the cash and valuables cover figures we quote are those certified for the product. They are an industry benchmark, not a promise from us or from any insurer.

Whether your insurer accepts a particular safe, and on what terms, is a matter between you and your insurer. We will provide the certification you need to make that case, but we cannot give insurance advice.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any breach of your statutory rights.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of or damage to items stored in a safe, and our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for it.

We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event beyond our reasonable control. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible and agree a revised timetable. Where the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a refund for anything paid for and not yet supplied.

Your information

We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
